Note to dev's however...... I think this needs to either have its own proxy configuration dialog tab or work off the gnome prefs one.

A large majority of folks these days work from behind a http proxy. There is no point in putting a tool on the gnome menu's that, to be effective, needs to be run from command line after creating environment variables.

just my 2cp worth ;-)
