  I had read the bug report (at least loosly), but the previous 
comment still described the S3-support keyword in power.conf, which 
appears to be irrelevant.  Though the 'S3-support default' request is 
probably also irrelevant, I think the request to restart HALL when the 
problem exists is not, and would be an important part of arriving at a 
permanent solution (GDM *should* be using HAL).

  I am well aware of what the S3-support keyword does, including using 
the 'default' option, which is why I suggested it vs, removing the 
keyword entirely (and mostly why I was inquiring about the relevance 
of the keyword in these messages - though there isn't yet an 
'S4-support' keyword ;^) ).
