> Just grabed 100a CD.  The live CD boots fine, but after going through all the setup screens, the installer hangs at 3% on "Preparing disk for OpenSolaris 2008.11 installation..."  I don't think this is the same as http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=3958 'cause I have 1G of RAM (minus 16M for video mem).  I'm installing on a second partition after an NTFS.  The same machine has worked fine with previous 2008.11 pre-releases.  Could that measly 16M video memory really be making the difference?

You may be seeing the following issue

 	6764914 vdev_reopen() can lead to failed allocations

Can you open up a terminal and see whether dumpadm is running?
