[indiana-discuss] issues with 2008.11 (dell inspiron 9300)

SunOS opensolaris 5.11 snv_100 i86pc i386 i86pc Solaris

1. I installed this on Dell Inspiron 9300. When the system boots up, I get a really loud beep. I login and mute the system. When I reboot the system, the mute setting gets reset. The mute setting doesn't seem to be persistent. 

2. Firefox can't seem to save bookmarks. I did install a Adobe 10.x flash plugin (on this x86 box). That's the only change I've done to firefox.

3. I wish OpenOffice 3.x is included. (not an issue but a RFE).

4. JRE 1.6.0_10 would be nice too.
