OK, then that is a "on/off" bug...
We got OpenSolaris 2008.11 build101a RC1b installed that way onto two Ultra
20's.
The disks did have ubuntu, Solaris10 and Windows on it, and first we tried to
install RC1b into the Solaris fdisk partition (replacing the existing
S10). That failed to install the grub. We could boot. Grub only delivered the
"grub> " prompt..
Then we did try some different things in getting grub onto it, but failed also.
As last resort, we then installed to the whole disk, erasing ubuntu and
windows and then we were able to boot... Don't know, if that now picks up the
"old grub" from Solaris 10, but at least, we now could boot the
system... Thjat was all we needed, so we didn't investigate any further...

Might be, we also only see that in booting from the disk, not from the DVD...

We assume, it's a bug in JavaFX... Installing JavaFX went without problem, but
then running the app didn't deliver keytrokes to the app (in 64bit!). In 32bit
it did work, so we needed to add that to /rpool/boot/grub/menu.lst by hand...
