[indiana-discuss] CD Space analysis and recommendations

I've posted an updated status[1] of the changes being made for 2008.11 
to get the primary CD back to CD size.  The changes can be broadly 
categorized as:

- Removing some packages that don't make sense for the desktop/laptop 
target of this media, or that provide duplicate or low-priority 
functionality

- Refactoring significant data sets (fonts, localizations) to required 
and optional portions to reduce their impact

- Modifying the CD construction to gain some space, at a cost of about 
10% in install performance

Note that some minor additional adjustments may be required based on 
testing of the changes that are included in build 99 and what's 
delivered in build 100.
