I hope the code package you received includes patch for basic support patch of the Xonar DX. Compiling OSS from scratch is easier than the whole of ONNV, should I need to repatch the code to make my card work.

Also, the OSS API/ioctls/whatever will be supported in that rewrite, right? Compiling various open source projects with audio capabilities, chances are magnitudes higher for them to support OSS over SADA.
