Yes, you are right, Sir: The web site is not really important but it is a "window" where people out there can look "into" the project, as a web site shows what is to be done (for the next coming release) and what is already done and other important data. And the web site would be the URL which is posted around by the members of the FOSS community to show who don't know the project that there is a official OpenSolaris distro is coming (Marketing and such things, you know).
It is my personal feeling and opinion that for an October release there is too much discussion and too little "real work" (for example the Ubuntu devs are starting to work for the next release just before the time where the actual release is going to hit the servers, to have a guaranteed time of 6 months, the Indiana community now has only 4 months left and you even have not got a repo, yet). But because "Indiana" has a really experienced project leader I cannot see the reasons behind this. So I asked because even if I have still the opinion that "Indiana" is not the right development direction I am interested in all efforts which wants to bring OpenSolaris to the world out there.
