I'm having the same sort of issue... the banner shows and the hostname 
and then booting stops.  The bug references ibft-noprobe and 
ibfs-noprobe.  Which one is it?  "set ibft-noprobe=1" in /etc/system 
does not work so I'm going to try "set ibfs-noprobe=1" and see what 
happens.  Someone should probably clear up which it is (ibfs vs ibft).
