That would seem to be referring to the same thing referred to at:

http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zones-discuss/2008-December/004541.html

My understanding is the version in SunOS 5.11 will work on the SXCE
variant, not the OpenSolaris or other variants. Since the SXCE
variant seems to be nearing its end of life (no official announcement
that I am aware of - just momentum behind OpenSolaris distro) it seems
somewhat clear that this is really intended to target Solaris 10. As
such, a backport to Solaris 10 seems likely which will allow Solaris
10 global zones to be P2V'd into Solaris 10 non-global zones.

To convert a Solaris 8 box to a Solaris 10 zone, it will be a
multi-step process, as mentioned at
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zones-discuss/2008-December/004561.html.
