It would be really helpful if you actually specified what these
"exceptional cases" actually are, I have asked about that
repeatedly in the past and I can imagine that other potential new
users are interested in this as well.

There are already several security issues which I'd consider
critical (e.g. in Firefox, OpenSSL and xterm). So what kinds of
cases will be fixed for users without support contracts?
