Oops, sorry, my last email was too quick.

I notice that our spec-files SVN head has 2.5.3, but the 2.24 stable
branch still is building with 2.5.1.  Since the next OpenSolaris
release will be based on the 2.24 stable branch, this means the next
release of OpenSolaris will contain version 2.5.1.  Unless, of course,
we update this spec file before then.

Rick Ju is the owner of our pidgin spec-file, so I am cc:ing him so
we can consider updating to the newer version in our stable branch
before the 09.04 release.

If the a11y bug you mentioned is a serious bug fix, then it might be
good to file a high priority bug about this in defect.opensolaris.org
to help ensure this issue gets attention.

It would probably be best to check the spec-files in the 2.24 branch to
see what versions of various desktop modules will be included in the
next OpenSolaris release:
