The latter :) Brian was just pointing out that the 2.24 branch of
spec-files (which includes most of our desktop apps, not just the
GNOME ones) forms the basis of what's currently due to ship in
2009.04, and right now that only includes Pidgin 2.5.1. We could,
indeed, bump the version of Pidgin on that branch prior to 2009.04 if
we had a compelling reason to do so.
