Yes, the data is md5'd as it is downloaded, and if the expected checksum
doesn't occur, it gets re-downloaded.
The 'looping' you are seeing is because the download failed, but that's
due to bug 10010 (indirectly) which is fixed and the fix for will show
up in 120:
