The same goes for OpenSolaris !
You don't have to be a paid customer !
Packages are upgradable one by one. Dependancies are taken care of the
way apt-get does it. Nobody forces you to do an image upgrade everytime
you want to upgrade i.e. TomCat. Why would we?
Read 'man pkg' or use the GUI.
