[indiana-discuss] Extra/multimedia key support?

Hi all.

I've updated to build 117 and am very happy to find I now have many more
working hotkeys (plus the volume wheel) on my laptop, working audio keys
on a couple of my desktops, and even a semi-functioning remote control.
(Thanks to all responsible!)

On my Logitech (LX 710) keyboard, however, none of the multimedia keys
are working, nor are they recognized by xev. Am I correct in assuming
that if xev doesn't see a key I will not be able to map that key? If so,
are the keys on this keyboard something that *might* be supported in a
not-too-distant release or should I go buy a different keyboard? :-)
