Hi Sriram,
I guess in the meantime you already made you way reading thru the issues
referenced by Shawn. If not, I like to inform you that there is an issue
within SMF (Service Management Facilities) of OpenSolaris and related
there seems to be an open issue with zlib if I understand the referenced
issues correct.
Due to this an automatic update of the mime entries is not possible for
any installed newly application until open bugs are fixed.
So you would need to update the database manually by opening a terminal,
bcomming root user and execuding the command "update-mime-database
/usr/share/mime" which should push an update.
The second workaround would be to reboot the machine after installation
of OpenOffice.org from the OpenSolaris repository. This will force an
update of the mime entries on next start.
regards,
Martin
Danach sollte auch ein Doppelklick innerhalb von Gnome funktionieren.
