It is difficult to follow the entire thread; I am attaching a screenshot to show the seriousness of this problem (plse see attached).
The screenshot is a composite of two screenshots: the top one is taken from OOo 3.0 running in OpenSolaris, and the bottom one is (what would be) from OOo 3.1. The OpenSolaris (including SXCE and OpenSolaris) version of OOo made very funny displays of the names of China's current and next Presidents, and the latter's beautiful wife. As I described in the above-referenced thread, this problem only occurs in the OpenSolaris version of OOo, not in Linux, Windows, or even the Solaris proper.
I will submit this thread as a bug report. But I believe it is quite obvious that we should try to update OOo 3.1 to the IPS repository ASAP. (OOo 3.1 also has other very significant advantages over 3.0 or even over Microsoft Office.)
