I'm not using NWAM, and this seems to be happening sooner than that.
Grub is taking a long time, even before the kernel starts.

That said, booting from the rpool/ROOT/opensolaris dataset worked much
faster.  It did still stall during for ten minutes or so during grub,
but after that it booted in a few minutes.

Thanks for the hint, though; it's nice to at least have the machine back up.
