Ah, much better.  A cosmetic issue I noticed was that on the screen lacking vertical height the progress bar ended up below the displayed area.  That made it appear at first blush like maybe things were not moving forwards.  Maybe the progress bar should be in a fixed part of the screen.  But then I suck at any kind of graphic design so what do I know.
