Should be using NTP if the ethernet was plugged in when Leopard/Tiger
was installed. But keep in mind there's a 6 hour drift as it stores
using UTC instead of local. I know this because if you dual boot with
Linux or Windows, you must adjust accordingly. Perhaps the RTC chip is
communicating this difference but it is already adjusted. Could you try
to have it use local time instead of GMT/UTC on the VM?
