Hello Yiannis.

I shall be glad to assist you.
The Blade 100/150's m64 is working well/stable in Xorg 7.2's xserver 1.2 (not yet in 1.5.3).
You can get a natively hardware-accelerated Xorg and Mesa OpenGL and what you want (except DRM/DRI) and can run JDS/Gnome (or what you install yourself, including KDE) with it.

See my response to another SPARC-user's questions:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/indiana-discuss/2009-March/014889.html

Get and test Xorg 7.2:

It is a complete shame how Managemnet treats us SunBlade 100/150 users.
We spent a minimum of $2500 for halfway equipped boxes (the SunBlade 150 was a CURRENT PRODUCT until April 25th 2006 / the Ultra Mobile Workstation Laptop until DECEMBER 2006, costed $5k++ per unit)!!!

Now the modified Xorg drivers are in the fox-gate and are available FOR FREE, yet Management prefers to "support" wsfb, which is known to work with nothing, plus the 3 Sun-engineered CLOSED SRC ddx modules (kfb, efb ...), which include secret Sun-internal knowledge how to properly interact with the /dev/fb kernel drivers for bus-scanning and mmap()'ing, and not a single one of them is publicly available in src.

It is a shame.
But almost nobody ever helped me in pointing this out.

That saddens me and makes me wonder, why 3+5 == -1.

SPARC'y (and x86/x64 influenced) regards,
proud OpenSolaris.org community member and Sun-fan,
