Grub stage1 is in the first sector of the Solaris fdisk partition,
and contains a pointer to stage2; in my virtualbox installation
stage2 was following stage1.
Grub could be looking at the wrong disk drive, when looking for
the /boot/grub/menu.lst file
And the findroot is scanning all available bios drives and
corrects the problem?
