Are you able to compile with those changes? 

I tried to do that, but did not have much luck. I changed the includes to look for in /usr/include/openldap. Also changed the configure.in/aclocal.m4 macros to use -lldap-2.4 (same for -llber-2.4). Ran autconf, then tried to re-run configure. Still did not have much luck.
