Are the zones whole-root, or sparse (i.e. do they have any 
inherit-pkg-dir directives in the zone configuration)?  In the case of a 
sparse zone, packages which install into inherited areas will not have 
the scripts run.

"Not saved" could mean many things, do you mean in the 
/var/sadm/pkg/<pkgname>/pspool area for the package?

I don't think we can offer more suggestions without knowing what release 
of Solaris, what patches, specific zone configurations, and so on.  But 
if it's Solaris 10, you'll probably do better by placing a call under 
your service contract.
