I believe there is a minor bug involved here.

When I would get to the last screen, I was forgetting to check the license acceptance checkbox. That did not appear to be a problem, since I was then presented with a dialog box asking to confirm or reject license acceptance. I would accept, and then the install would fail as described before.

I tried the install again, but made sure to click the checkbox first, and the install is working properly now.
