I'd say no, unless that's the default for ksh93 on other platforms.

Also, while I appreciate your efforts to make ksh93 on Solaris the best
that it can be, I recommend putting a freeze on changes like this,
unless you think they're critical to the initial putback.  Otherwise, it
will be difficult to get the ARC materials stable enough to submit, and
ARC approval is on the critical path for the initial putback.
