	I think you've got it right.  And, as I said not this case.
	Just motivation for not exposing def*() and my suggestion
	to hide them in a .a until the work was finished.

	The work going forward is to provide a unified admin interface
	without a requirement for $EDITOR as the primary answer.
	(Don't snicker.  I've had the same past history as you ;-{

	But we're off track.  We can continue this conversation, just
	not as this fast track.
