... but note that even if "getconf" works we need to disable it for now
(in our build) since it wasn't covered by the ARC case (and we would
need another ARC case to get it enabled (and if we find more nits in the
"getconf" builtin we can't enable it anyway... ;-( )) ... ;-(
... it seems we still need a workaround for now (like the patch I send
you ealier this week).
