ksh93 provides a richer set of built-in commands than the current
Solaris ksh does. This can lead to maintenance problems due to having
multiple copies of the same functionality (e.g., /bin/chmod and the
ksh93 chmod). The ksh93 project plans to explore using a single code
base for both the regular commands and the built-ins. This will likely
require giving some of the existing Solaris code (e.g., for managing ZFS
ACLs) back to AT&T for inclusion in ksh93.
