[laptop-discuss] Mute problem on HP nx6325

Hi,

I recently installed the OSS package for Solaris and now have a 
mute problem. 

The HP nx6325 has a ATI xpress 1150 chipset with a built-in 
audio support for AC-97. When Solaris boots it is muting the
laptop. The mute-key is activated (the led is on). I haven´t
yet found a way to get the mute off.

Another problem arises when I press the mute-key while booting.
This results in an immediate reboot of the system.

Is there any place where such possible errors could be logged?
Or has anyone had similar problems with the sound at all? Any
help appreciated.
