[laptop-discuss] 1. Kernel is 64 2. Driver is 32

Good morning, Casper.

Apparently, the Core 2 has "Extended Memory 64 Technology"
which apparently allows 64-bit memory addressing, while still having a
32-bit internal data path. I didn't know that.

Did the Solaris install procedure build a 64-bit version of the operating
system based on what it detected I had on my system? Or does it always
install the same thing on everybody's system?

I'm wondering if I would be better off with a 32-bit version of Solaris
Express 10/06.

	Regards,

	Rick

The Core 2, I think, is 64 bits. (The "Core", OTOH, is not)

You'll need to get the 64 bit windows driver.
