I had a similar problem. here is what I posted yesterday on the solarisonintel list:
Hello folks,
I'm trying to configure a PCMCIA modem (actually an OPTION Globetrotter GPRS
modem, but the problem occurs before this matters) on a SOLARIS10 laptop with
the cardbus drivers from the opensolaris site.
The systems finds the modem when I insert it and creates the devices.
However if I try
tip /dev/cua0 (or someting equivalent with kermit)
the system freezes until I remove the card. Everithing then gets "normal"
again.
