[laptop-discuss] Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx NIC

This is a new user question. I cannot complete the installation of a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx NIC in a Dell Latitude D620. I downloaded the drivers from the vendor web site and they gave me these instructions:

1.Change directory to where BRCMbnx2.pkg resides.
2. pkgadd -d BRCMbnx2.pkg
3. Execute prtconf to determine instance number of the NIC.
4. ifconfig bnx2[instance_number] plumb

Although I tried many possible values, I cannot execute successfully the step 4. The output of the prtconf -vp can be found here: http://www.cs.uic.edu/~jiparrag/solaris/output_prtconf.html

Can you give me some hints? Thank you!
