By the way, would you by any chance know how I can write a shell script that gets executed automatically on card insertion to make pppd call (enabling sppp0) and another one that gets executed on card removal to disable the sppp0 interface?
I would like it to connect automatically as soon as I insert the card and detect that the card was removed so that the network interface gets cleaned up properly. (That would be the WWAN analog of the /etc/hostname.xxx0 ethernet interface configuration...)
