Your case is very similar to my case that solaris hangs always right after
the Copyright notices.

It might be a cardbus related issue. How about to disable cardbus driver if
you doesn't use pccards?
To achieve that, add following one line into /etc/system and reboot your system.

exclude: drv/pcic

Will the system still hang on boot time?
