On my SZ-140 this selects which video card to use but doesn't appear to 
have any other effect. The CPU may automatically be controlling its 
power usage in hardware?? -- I get really loooooooooooooooong battery 
life when the machine is mostly idle (almost six hours) and only two 
when I keep it running its paces.
