  Yes.  The core should be in Solaris soon, and various platforms, 
including laptops, will work as drivers are updated to support 
suspend and resume.

  For driver writers out there (especially framebuffers), updating 
your drivers to comply with chapter 12 of "Writing Device Drivers" 
will go a long way in having your drivers be supported when the x86 
kernel can suspend.
