According to some user's experience,
you just need to add a driver
alias for the '001c' device-id to /etc/driver_aliases,
the driver looks fine.


So, I suggest, 
#update_drv -a -i '"pci168c,1c"' ath 
first.

If it can't work, 
try pcie.
