created a file called '915resolution' which i placed in /usr/sbin

then i created a script in /etc/init.d called 'setresolution' which had the line:

/usr/sbin/915resolution 5c 1280 800 32 >/dev/null

in it.  then i linked this file to /etc/rc2.d/S50setresolution

restarted the computer and it just came up automatically.

i have the above tar'ed up if you want it jad at saiman dot co dot uk
