When running VMWare a reasonable host virtual screen resolution doesn't _quite_ fit within the 900 vertical pixels of the real screen. Once VMWare has added its window "frame" to the client screen it is a little too tall to run 1024x768 fully on-screen. 800x600 seems a little cramped for a client screen. Further, IIRC, some T61s actually have lower resolution screens. ???x800 I think. I don't have any experience w/Xen.

Have the same issue with my 15.4" MacBook Pro, I run VMware as well.
OSX' menus, dock, and bars take up about the same amount of space as
Vista's theme, so I can't run anything better than 1280x720, which works
on most guests.
