[laptop-discuss] Terrible reception with atheros neatgear wpn311

Hi,

I'm sitting in the same room using my laptop, which has an Intel 4965 
wireless; everything seems to be working ok. On the desktop, however, 
the reliability has been shocking. I've had the reliability of the 
wireless go up and down; sometimes loading very fast, and other times, 
as though the connection has died altogether.

I'm wondering whether I need to attach a more powerful ariel to it, but 
it does seem kind of weird given that my laptop doesn't face the same 
problems when used in the same room/same location as the desktop.
