As the comments say, you should set PREFIX_DATASET if using ZFS, and 
only set PREFIX if not using ZFS.  Yes, this can be made better, but for 
the moment that's your problem here.

Again, you're not using ZFS, so you should be setting USB_FILE, not 
USB_ZVOL.
