Can't the Marketing Community Group just sponsor Indy so we can get a
project space and list set up?
Indy has been proposed by people who work in Sun marketing and who are
also part of the Marketing Community Group on OpenSolaris. It seems to
me that if Indy has the long term goal of "increasing the userbase and
growing mindshare in the volume market by providing easy access to the
technology created within the OpenSolaris community" than the Marketing
CG should just sponsor this project ASAP. Heck, the User Group Community
ought to do the same. And if the OGB approves the Advocacy Community
proposal, then Advocacy will be the sponsoring CG. The (potential)
Advocacy CG will range from non-technical issues and projects to
technical projects, and if Indy is supposed to help grow the OpenSolaris
user and developer community around the world then the 50 or so user
groups ought to participate as well.
