opensolaris-announce really isn't the best area of information for a new
participant. -help is useful though.
Really a new participant should be pointed to pages other than mailing
lists for an introduction to the project.

I believe Mailman supports rejecting mail sent to to many addresses -
but there is no built-in way to check whether those are user addresses
or other os.o mailing lists; and the tonic team does not have the
resources to make this kind of modification.

The above was pretty much settled as part of OGB/2007/001, with the
exception of having a specific project-announce list setup for these
sorts of announcements, rather than overloading opensolaris-announce.
