Garrett,
My thinking was in trying to have licensees, as is done today with PSARC,
for instance. Today you need to go through a licensee, and I was thinking
the core contributer for a given community would be that type of person.
Maybe what I'm proposing is that you be the licensee for the device driver
community, when the ARCs are formed. I was trying to have some type of
control over our community so that someone could have the word on wether
something is worthy of going back into OpenSolaris or not.
As an example, just because a driver was ported and/or compiles is not
reason for the code to be putback into OpenSolaris without proper
justification and/or approval. Today that all happens inside of Sun.
That will change soon.
