The test suites have several issues at this time, the primary being
cleaning it up so it can be putback and released to the community.

I think you misunderstood my point. I don't believe that all drivers in ON
can or will be able to pass the test suites. I suspect many will fail the
tests. Even with the rigorous testing that SPARC drivers have gone through
doesn't give them ability to pass the test suites used for nic testing in
Beijing.
You are correct, that some test cases may pass that did fail, but we'll
probably never know that for most drivers, because they don't go through
testing again.
This has nothing to do with anything you coded and/or what might cause
breakage. I was pointing this out as I suspected dmfe was not going
through formal testing with the GLDv3 port, and it should. All drivers
going through a major change like that should, IMO.
