I can understand the intent, but two weeks may not be practical in many
situations, and I'd worry that points 1 and 2 conflict each other. I'd like to
get a better feel of what disclosure would mean.
Would it simply be 'The OGB are currently in private conversation with Sun', or
would it be 'The OGB are currently in private conversation with Sun discussing
FOO'? If the former, then I believe it doesn't provide any useful disclosure,
since the OGB will, if doing it's job right, be in discussion with Sun 100% of
the time to make sure their participation in the project is going ok, and
understanding any issues that may be coming up.
If it's the latter, then I would worry that disclosure may not be appropriate at
that time as it may cause unnecessary unrest within our community unless we
message it appropriately.
Otherwise, the rest of the proposal looks great - thanks for taking the time to
write it up.
