I see this as

    The OGB has been having a private discussion concerning
    an individual member's activities; action (if any)
    resulting from this topic will be brought up in a future
    OGB meeting.

-or-

    The OGB this last week initiated a set of discussions
    with a 3rd party company concerning potential future
    involvement.  We hope that these discussions will
    cumulate in a public announcement by that company at
    some point in the future.

-or-

    Sun has approached the OGB in the last week to discuss
    matters that are not expected to result in formal OGB
    action.


I would not expect to say things like

    Sun has started discussing legal issues related to the
    use of Sun's trademarks by the FooBazSolaris distro,
    but we can't give details...
