This is a ridiculous insult against Dr. Fielding, as well as against all other volunteers who use(d?) to invest much (if not most) of their spare time, thoughts, money and whatever further resources (e.g. neglected families, neglected careers ...) into what previously had been called "OpenSolaris".
Certainly true: SMI does pay for opensolaris.org, right. But SMI would pay way *more* if Solaris development would still be done (entirely) behind their firewalls, without this PR-attractive pseudo-"open" public interface. Who else, if not SMI, has the biggest corporate interest in running opensolaris.org? Who else gets the ROI?
